An Exciting New Service for the REDC
The Regional Economic Development Center (REDC) already offers a variety of services for job seekers and employers alike. As the Career Engagement Specialist, I get to see first-hand what a vital impact our job fairs, recruitment events, outreach initiatives, and other job placement services have on our community. However, always looking for new and innovative ways to strengthen Yavapai County’s economic growth, we are excited to announce a new service to our line-up – Graduate Connections.
So, What Is It?Graduate Connections brings together talented students and alumni from Yavapai College beginning their job search and connects them with companies that need their unique skill set. Students participating will work closely with REDC Career Services as they prepare to move forward in their careers and life beyond graduation. At the end of each semester, REDC staff will connect qualified students with employers and interviews will be scheduled. Graduate Connections will no doubt serve as a much-needed resource for employers and students alike.
How Does It Help Our Community?Graduate Connections came about with the aim to encourage college talent to remain in Yavapai County after graduation. By keeping our graduates local, we will provide businesses and organizations with the vital talent they need to succeed and project that success outwards into our community. All while providing our students with the best possible chance to jumpstart their career. Success all around! I and everyone here at the REDC look forward to seeing the positive impact Graduate Connections will make for our students, local businesses, and the overall economic growth of Yavapai County.
