The Yavapai College Gunsmithing (YCG) Armorer’s Course covers: Complete disassembly and reassembly, detailed explanation of design, function and internal workings using a cutaway firearm, basic troubleshooting and repair at an armorer’s level. YCG would provide 3 days of 1 to 1 class structure with each student receiving hands on instruction on the M4 platform and service handgun.
This training conforms to P.O.S.T. standards. Students completing the 3 days of instruction will be certified by YCG to service and maintain M4 platform rifles and Glock platform service pistols.
Course Outcomes:
- Correct disassembly and reassembly of firearms. Detailed firearm care and cleaning.
- Appropriate firearm adjustments and which to avoid. Firearm troubleshooting and defect identification.
- Evaluation and confirmation of firearm performance per specifications.
- Evaluation and confirmation of firearm operational safety.
